The latest update will add LAN cable transfer features between PS3s and will also see the addition of a Minis emulator, which allows you to access your Minis from your PSP.
Sony also say the update will improve security on the console.
If you've not already turned on your PS3 since yesterday, then you'll be prompted to update when you next log in, provided you're hooked up to the internet. Once updated, you'll have all the lovely things Sony wants you to have.
